The Golden Ratio

Considered by many to be the most beautiful number, the Golden Ratio (or to some, the Divine Proportion) can be found in art, architecture, biology, plant-life, astronomy, music, modern design, and more! We will explore its history and many of its astounding mathematical properties, as well as its appearance in some seemingly unrelated areas. This talk requires only the most basic high-school-level geometry and algebra.
