- Tegmina usually finely spotted with black.
- Ventral femur dull horn yellow.
- Hind tibia blue.
- Male cercus flattened and 'finger-like' upturned with a straight ventral margin.
- Furcae flattened, each resembling a 'raven bill' in outline.
- Male subanal plate evenly rounded.
- Ovipositor with a dorsal tooth.
- Overall surface flecked with black.
- Post-ocular stripe merging with overall mottling.
- Outer face of hind femur with faint dark band having two dorsal notches.
- Probably indistinguishable from M. flavidus.
