Adults

  • Hind femur with black band having two yellow notches on dorsal half.
  • Hind tibia red.
  • Male cercus 'mitten shaped.'
  • Male furculae minute.
  • Female cercus short, blunt, and upturned.
  • Ovipositor without a dorsal tooth.
  • Usually associated with sandy soils.
Nymphs
  • Slate gray laterally.
  • Red-brown dorsally with black post-ocular band.
  • Hind femur with broad black stripe.
