Cucullia intermedia Speyer 1870

Common name: listed here as ‘Dusky hooded-owlet’

Hodges #: 10194.

Identification: Rfw 20.2 mm, ground color dull steel gray, without black areas along inner margin defining pm line, hw fuscous, darkening outwardly. See Cucullia identification key.

Similar species: 10190, 10197, 10198, 10200, 10201, and 10202.

Distribution: Western U. S. and Canada, eastward in north to New England states.

Hosts: Lactucus spp.– wild lettuce, also recorded from Betula– birch.
