Lithacodes fasciola (Herrich-Schäffer 1854)

Common name: Listed here as ‘Ochre-winged hag moth.’

Hodges #: 4665.

Identification: Rfw 8.8 mm, media stem present in discal cell of f/hw, proboscis vestigial.

Similar species: 4697– not yet recorded from ND, 6322, and 8123.

Distribution: U. S. east of the Great Plains.

Hosts: Larvae on deciduous trees: apple, basswood, birch, elm, willow, etc.
