Parapoynx badiusalis (Walker 1859)

Common name: listed here as ‘Pondweed moth.’

Hodges #: 4761.

Identification: Rfw 8.8 mm, hw with transverse lines straight, not parallel in course to orange marginal band.

Similar species: none in North Dakota.

Distribution: southern Canada and northern United States east of the Rockies.

Hosts: Larvae feed on Potamogeton spp.– Pondweeds.
