Interjectio niviella (Hulst 1888)

Common name: listed here as ‘Smeared white snout moth.’

Hodges #: 5758.

Identification: Rfw 12.3 mm, fw ground color white, am. line black, vertical; pm. line strongly ‘zig-zag’ on anterior half of wing and appearing as dark streaks.

Similar species: 5935, 5944.1.

Distribution: known from Colorado, Manitoba, North Dakota, and Iowa.

Hosts: unknown.
