Ennomos magnarius Guenée 1857

Common name: Maple spanworm/ Notch-wing moth.

Hodges #: 6797.

Identification: Rfw 23 mm, fw and hw with prominent teeth, wings without defined transverse lines, vein M2 of hw absent.

Similar species: 6731, 6737.

Distribution: central Canada and temperate United States.

Hosts: wide variety of deciduous trees, esp. Acer spp.– maples.
