Catocala cerogama Guenée 1852

Common name: Yellow-banded underwing.

Hodges #: 8802.

Identification: Rfw 32.7 mm, hw with a single even yellow-orange band.

Similar species: 8796.

Distribution: southern Canada and northern United States east of the Rockies.

Hosts: Larvae feed on Tilia spp.– Basswood. Another host may be involved as moths are found far from basswood plantings.
