Heather Connelly, a native of Fargo, N.D., received her bachelor of science degreen in mass communication with a minor in apparel studies on May 11, 2002. While at NDSU she held the position of news editor at The Spectrum, the twice weekly student newspaper with a circulation of 7,000 papers per issue. Responbilities at the newspaper included editing writer's work, writing news articles and brainstorming ideas for upcoming issues.

Heather achieved dean's list grades in her classes, which included editing, photojournalism, broadcasting, mass communication ethics and theory, in addition to minor courses such as sewing, product development and apparel design. She also studied French for six years.

Her liberal arts education at Minnesota State University Moorhead combined with her major and minor at NDSU have given her a wide base of knowledge, making her jobs skills very versatile.

After she completes her internship with Gypsy Jam Productions, an entertainment promotions company, she hopes to find a job writing about fashion or the entertainment industry.
