Acoloba Spinola, 1850

Acoloba Spinola, 1850: 36.

Dichelocephala Stål, 1853: 226. (syn. by Bergroth, 1887)

Type Species: Acoloba: Aelia lanceolata Fabricius, 1803, by monotypy. Dichelocephala: Dichelocephala virescens StDl, 1853 (= Aelia lanceolata Fabricius, 1803), by monotypy.

Tribal Placement: Dichelocephala is the last taxa described by Stål (1853) being placed directly behind the phyllocephaline genus Dichelorhinus. By 1865, however, Stål included it within the Pentatomina, and stated that it was related to Diploxys. Most have concurred with this placement until Linnavuori (1982) placed it in its own group, but he still indicated a close relationship with the Diploxys group.

Included Species:
lanceolata (Fabricius, 1803)
     gracilis (White, 1842) [junior synonym]
virescens (Stål, 1853) [junior synonym] - Image of ST
