RCA Proposal Resubmission Pilot Program

In order to better support NDSU researchers, an RCA Pilot Proposal Resubmission program is being launched to provide proposal consultations to investigators for improving an already highly-rated proposal for resubmission. The program is for reviews received within the past 6 months. This is a pilot project, subject to demand and measured impact of the investments. We encourage individuals with highly rated but unfunded proposals of all sizes and in all disciplines to apply. The awards will be for up to 5 hours of consultation time with an experienced grant writer and proposal support from research development staff. To apply, the following information is needed:

  • PI and key investigator(s) – name and contact information.
  • Timeline for planned resubmission.
  • List of limitations in original application identified by reviewers.
  • Funding agency and program to which the PI plans to resubmit.
  • Copies of the proposal and reviews (must be attached to application).

Contact ndsu.researchdev@ndsu.edu with questions.

NOTE: Applications to this program will be submitted through the InfoReady platform. To begin an application in InfoReady, click the "Apply" button on the program page, then use the blue button on the following screen to log in using your NDSU credentials.

RCA Research Development Travel and Conference Support Awards

Research Development Travel and Conference Support Awards are intended to help cover expenses for the following:

  • Travel to a national-level conference (or registration fees for a virtual conference) to present research or creative work;
  • Travel to conduct research requiring access to an archive or special collection.

Applications will be processed in the order received, and awards will be made until all funds are allocated.
Travel must be completed by June 15, 2022.

Eligibility:

  • NDSU tenured and tenure-track faculty are eligible to apply.
  • Professors of Practice who have research as part of their appointments may also be considered for travel funding.
  • Visiting faculty are not eligible to apply.
  • These awards are limited to one award per faculty member per fiscal year.

 Special Considerations:

  • The pool of funding is limited; please consider allowing individuals who do not have other sources of travel funding (i.e. grant) to apply for this opportunity.
  • This opportunity is primarily for domestic travel.
However, international travel requests may be accommodated if required for discipline-specific research, such as traveling for research requiring access to an archive or special collection.
International travel must be clearly justified in the application.
  • If applying for funds to present at a conference, confirmation of acceptance to present at the conference must be provided with the application.
  • Expenses, including any airfare or registration fees, will only be eligible for reimbursement after the conclusion of the conference and/or travel.
