Hosting a Food or Item Drive Process

An organization and/or department wanting to host a drive (food or items) must have approval from the Residence Hall Association (RHA) prior to drive boxes being placed in the halls. 

The process for getting approval for a drive in the residence halls is:

  • Schedule a time with the RHA President to attend an RHA Meeting (Mondays at 7pm in the Cater Hall Multi-Purpose Room).
  • Present what the drive is about, how the organization/department will drop off the boxes/manage/pick up the boxes, how it will be advertised, and anything else helpful for the RHA General Body to be aware of.
  • The RHA General Body will discuss the drive and vote on it.
  • We then coordinate logistics for card access to the halls for drop off/pick up.

Additional Information:

  • All boxes must be clearly labeled with a graphic for what it is for.
  • Drive boxes need to be maintained and removed within the time voted on.
