Student Team Members

The Department of Residence Life provides a variety of ways students can earn money, while supporting our mission of providing a vibrant, healthy place to live and learn.

None of our student positions are currently open. Please see below for a list of positions that open throughout the year. 

Academic Year Positions

Resident Assistants (RAs)
Resident Assistants (RAs) are students employed by the Department of Residence Life whose role is to live in the halls and help provide other students with a vibrant, healthy place to live and learn. RAs facilitate a positive community by assisting students in creating their experience, while providing 20 hours a week of active and available time. Being a Resident Assistant is a great way to meet new people, have a positive influence on others, and build leadership skills. It's also a great way to help pay for college!

Apartment Complex Managers (CMs)
Complex Managers are students employed by the Department of Residence Life whose role is to facilitate a positive living/learning community in the NDSU Apartments, and to serve as a primary resource and source of support for tenants. Being a Complex Manager is a great way to meet new people, have a positive influence on others, and build leadership skills. It's also a great way to help pay for college!

Summer Positions

Conference Team Member (CTM)
Thirteen Conference Team Members are hired per summer to live on campus from mid-May to mid-August, and serve as administrators and main customer service representatives for the more than 7000 participants who attend athletic camps, academic programs and workshops on the NDSU campus. 

Conference Administrative Assistant (CAA)
Two Conference Administrative Assistants are hired per summer to live on campus from mid-May to mid-August, and help coordinate and host more than 7000 participants who attend athletic camps, academic programs and workshops on the NDSU campus. CAAs are the behind-the-scenes masters of conference coordination; they organize placement, billing, Conference Team Member scheduling and more. 

Summer Resident Assistant (RA)
Summer Resident Assistants work with the Hall Director as a collaborative team to maintain a positive living/learning environment for summer school students, and a welcoming atmosphere for summer guests. 

Senior Summer Resident Assistant (RA)
In addition to the Summer RA responsibilities listed above, the Senior Summer RA will serve in a leadership position with additional administrative responsibilities (and additional compensation).
