Diversity Initiative Leaders (DIL)
Diversity Initiative Leaders come together as a group to have open dialogue around a wide variety of diversity related topics. This group connects to learn about topics and to learn from each other. DILs engage in dialogue about diverse topics, gain access to resources, and participate in activities to learn about aspects of diversity.
DILs act as peer leaders by bringing specific activities to facilitate with their peers each month to expand upon the experience and encourage conversation in their hall communities about diverse topics.
At the beginning of fall semester Diversity Initiative Leaders begin by participated in a retreat designed to learn about each other and to being discussions about identity, diversity, and social justice.
DILs are a blended group of student leaders from hall governments and resident assistant staffs. Together they work as a team to engage peers in conversations about diverse topics. Hall partners collaborate to implement an event for their community at least one time per semester.
This group meets on Tuesdays two times per month from 7-9pm.

Students may self-nominate or be nominated to this role through their Hall Governments. Elections occur at the beginning of the academic year and as needed throughout the year. Resident Assistants may collaborate with their hall director to be placed in this role and represent their staff.
