Residence Hall Association (RHA)
Residence Hall Association (RHA) is the voice of NDSU’s on-campus students. They promote living, learning, and leading, as well as many on-campus activities throughout the year.
RHA is the governing body for all the residence hall programs and is composed of two reps from each hall. It sponsors residence hall activities, hears concerns brought forth by the hall residents, and works with the Department of Residence Life to address students’ needs in the halls.
All resident hall students are encouraged to participate in RHA by attending meetings and serving on RHA committees and leadership opportunities listed below.
RHA meets weekly on Mondays at 7pm in the Memorial Union.
Leadership Opportunities within RHA:
- Executive Board: The Residence Hall Association Executive Board’s purpose is to create an atmosphere for residents to express their ideas and concerns in a constructive manner. They strive to be positive resources in creating a strong Bison Family where everyone can feel at home, be connected, and grow as leaders. Wednesdays at 8:00pm.
- Affiliate Members: RHA is a member of the National Association of College and University Residence Halls (NACURH) and its Midwest regional affiliate, MACURH. Delegates from NDSU attend regional and national conferences that provide further opportunities for leadership and involvement.
- RHA Parliamentarian: The RHA Parliamentarian is appointed by the RHA President and provides knowledge of parliamentary procedure. The parliamentarian may not be the body president or an associate member. Mondays at 7:00pm.
