Student Staff 

The Department of Residence Life provides a variety of ways students can earn money, while supporting our mission of providing a vibrant, healthy place to live and learn.

The below opportunities are currently accepting applications. 

Conference Team Member (CTM)
Thirteen Conference Team Members are hired per summer to live on campus from mid-May to mid-August, and serve as administrators and main customer service representatives for the more than 7000 participants who attend athletic camps, academic programs and workshops on the NDSU campus. 

  • Free single residence hall room and meal compensation
  • Flexible hours, approximately 20 hours/week
  • Outside employment allowed
  • $11/hour

Conference Administrative Assistant (CAA)
Two Conference Administrative Assistants are hired per summer to live on campus from mid-May to mid-August, and help coordinate and host more than 7000 participants who attend athletic camps, academic programs and workshops on the NDSU campus. CAAs are the behind-the-scenes masters of conference coordination, and organize placement, billing, Conference Team Member scheduling and more. 

  • Free MLLC Studio and meal compensation
  • Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm, 40 hours/week
  • Outside employment not allowed
  • $11.50/hour

Summer Resident Assistant (RA)
Summer Resident Assistants work with the Hall Director as a collaborative team to maintain a positive living/learning environment for summer school students, and a welcoming atmosphere for summer guests. 

  • Free MLLC Studio and meal compensation
  • Flexible hours, approx 20 hours/week, late afternoons and evenings
  • Outside employment allowed

Senior Summer Resident Assistant (RA)
In addition to the Summer RA responsibilities listed above, the Senior Summer RA will serve in a leadership position with additional administrative responsibilities (and additional compensation $$$). 

  • Free MLLC Studio and meal compensation
  • Flexible hours, approx 20 hours/week, late afternoons and evenings
  • Additional 15 hours/week during the day at $11.50/hour
  • Limited outside employment is allowed
