Samuel Brinton and 50 Bills 50 States: Eliminating Conversion Therapy Across the US

When: 11/8/17 6:30pm to 9:00pm

Where: NDSU Festival Concert Hall

Contact person:

After coming out to their conservative family, Sam was forced to go through conversion therapy, a process purported to be able to alter one’s sexual orientation or gender identity. However, often the individuals who practice the so-called therapy are not licensed and use a range of harmful methods such as electroconvulsion, physical abuse, and worse, leaving lifelong scars in a futile attempt to alter one’s sexual orientation or gender identity. Yet despite this and being condemned by every major medical association in the US, the practice persists. So join us at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, November 8th in Festival Concert Hall to hear about Sam’s own “Month in Hell” and the campaign “50 Bills 50 States” founded to put an end to the cruel ways of conversion therapy. Free and open to all. For full details, please see our page at
