The NDSU Anthropology Club is a place where majors can gain peer insight into their major degree field, get information about fieldschools and upcoming conferences, have a chance to build friendships with like-minded students, be involved in on- and off-campus service projects, and discuss mutual social and academic interests.
Each year, the anthropology club holds a Haunted Tour of the NDSU campus, sharing the folklore of haunted rooms and buildings with local and campus community members. Club members have had the chance to attend a lecture by Jane Goodall, an undergraduate conference, APALA in Canada, and annual American Anthropological Association meetings.
The club has been privileged to have lectures from professors and Dean Riley and is in the process of attempting to start a conference here on campus. We also maintain a Blackboard site with conference info, fieldschool announcements, an email listserv, and much more. Anthropology club is a great place for everyone so join in and bring us your ideas!
