Bison Service Challenge (BSC)
The NDSU Bison Service Challenge was created to promote service throughout NDSU. The program is a friendly competition among campus groups including athletic teams, fraternity and sorority life, residence halls, and student organizations. Throughout the year, members in each category compete to complete the most service hours. The hours are submitted to the Volunteer Network. Winning teams receive recognition at the Bison Service Challenge Award Ceremony at the end of each academic year as well as $500 to donate to the nonprofit of their choice thanks to Dakota Medical Foundationhttp://www.dakmed.org/.
In addition to the most service hours completed, additional awards are given to recognize groups in the following categories: Outstanding Service Project of the Year, Outstanding Philanthropy Event of the Year, Strongest Partnership of the Year, and Largest Representation at Volunteer Network Events.
Nominations for academic year 2017-18 will be accepted through 5pm on Friday, April 27, 2018, for the Outstanding Service Project of the Year, and the Outstanding Philanthropy Event of the Year. All Bison Service Challenge awards are presented at the Bison Leadership Awards on May 3, 2018, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, in the Memorial Union Great Room.
