FallSpring
1st Year                       
  • Meet initial eligibility standards
  • Pass 6 credits (9 for football)
  • Pass 6 credits
  • Achieve a 1.8 cumulative GPA
  • NDSU GPA 2.0 to be in good academic standing

NOTE* Must pass 24 credits over the year(summer can help for 6 credits)
2nd Year 
  • Pass 6 credits (9 for football)
  • Achieve a 1.8 cumulative GPA
  • NDSU GPA 2.0 to be in good academic standing
  • Pass 6 credits
  • Achieve a 1.9 cumulative GPA
  • NDSU GPA 2.0 to be in good academic standing
  • Complete 40% of credits required for your degree
  • Declare a major by start of next fall
NOTE* Must pass 18 credits over the year(summer cannot help)
3rd Year 
  • Pass 6 credits (9 for football)
  • Achieve a 1.9 cumulative GPA
  • NDSU GPA 2.0 to be in good academic standing
  • Pass 6 credits
  • Achieve a 1.9 cumulative GPA
  • Complete 60% of credits required for your degree
NOTE* Must pass 18 credits over the year(summer cannot help)
4th Year 
  • Pass 6 credits (9 for football)
  • Achieve a 2.0 cumulative GPA
  • NDSU GPA 2.0 to be in good academic standing
  • Pass 6 credits
  • Achieve a 2.0 cumulative GPA
  • Complete 80% of credits required for your degree
  • Apply for 5th year aid (if eligible)
  • Apply for NCAA Post Graduate Scholarships (if eligible)
NOTE* Must pass 18 credits over the year(summer cannot help)
5th Year
  • Pass 6 credits (9 for football)
  • Achieve a 2.0 cumulative GPA
  • NDSU GPA 2.0 to be in good academic standing
  • Pass 6 credits
  • Achieve a 2.0 cumulative GPA
  • Graduate!
  • Apply for NCAA Post Graduate Scholarships (if eligible)
  • Apply for NCAA Degree Completion Aid (if eligible)

  • All minimum credits requirements must be towards your degree,
  • Summer school may be used to help GPA and/or total credits needed problems.
