2017 Welcome Week Dates

Saturday, August 19 - Saturday, August 26

Planning a Welcome Week Event

Campus departments/organizations are invited to plan an event during Welcome Week that will help create a stronger sense of community as well as ease the transition into the new school year.  Events that are open to all students will be listed in the Welcome Week mobile app and website if the form below is received by June 16th.  If you would like to participate in Welcome Week, please complete the event submission form.  Please also be aware that events must address at least one of the recently redeveloped learning outcomes of Welcome Week.

WELCOME WEEK EVENT GOALS

1. Students will increase their integration into NDSU's academic and social communities and traditions

2. Students will increase their knowledge of academic expectations, processes, and available resources

3. Students will access and navigate the campus and available resources

4. Students will engage in behaviors that contribute to a healthy and positive environment

For questions about the new learning outcomes, please contact Sami Johnson.

2017 Event Submissions

The event submission deadline has passed. Please contact Sami Johnson to inquire if it is still possible to have your event included for 2017.

Welcome Week Mobile App

This year, we will use a mobile app developed specifically for NDSU's Welcome Week. It will be available to download from the App Store and Google Play in early August.

One feature as a result of the mobile app is the option to include images with your event. Please see below for instructions on how to submit images.

Recognizing that not all students have a mobile device that will be compatible with the new app, the Welcome Week website will undergo a major update over the summer in order to provide the majority of the same information that will be housed within the app.
