Several VMS members attended the North Central Branch Meeting of the American Society for Microbiology last weekend in Brookings, South Dakota. The following students placed in various competitions:
- Adam Edwinson, 1st place, graduate oral presentations
Adam is working on his PhD in Dr. McEvoy's lab and is investigating the factors that influence the infection processes of Cryptosporidium parvum. You can read more about Adam's research here.
- Megan Constans, 3rd place, undergraduate oral presentations
Megan is an undergraduate researcher in Dr. Ramamoorthy's lab. Her talk was titled: "Computational analysis of the basis for vaccine escape by a virulent porcine circovirus strain 2B (PCV2B) isolate”
- Ben Martin, 3rd place, undergraduate poster presentations
Ben is the insect expert in Dr. Fisher's lab.
