Summer Workshop

June 11-22 - Poetry & Pictures, Gaylord Schanilec, visiting scholar and workshop

NDSU Visual Arts/Printmaking Education and Research Studio (PEARS) is pleased to present the 15th summer printmaking workshop with Gaylord schanilec, a noted color wood engraver who established his own press, Midnight Paper Sales, in 1980.

During this two-week opportunity, participants will attend printmaking workshops and prepare an exchange project using presented methods and theory.

Advanced Student Participation Opportunities

Opportunities are available for students to become studio assistants by registering for three (3) credits of ART 496: Field Experience. Research topics include studio and collections maintenance, the collaborative process, promotion and events coordination, etc.Individuals with interest and experience in printmaking are preferred. Assistants must be able to work independently. In return for work, interns may receive free studio usage.
