Welcome from the Vice President
I encourage every student to become immersed in our campus community.
NDSU is a wonderful place for students to call home, and Student Affairs provides many opportunities to connect outside the classroom. Whether visiting with residence hall friends, meeting for coffee and studying at the Memorial Union, developing leadership skills in a student organization, studying abroad, attending diversity programming, or working out at the Wallman Wellness Center, there are hundreds of opportunities to engage with fellow students, staff and faculty.
“Student Focused” is taken very seriously at NDSU. As a partner in helping students achieve academic, personal and professional goals, Student Affairs provides critical support services, enriching and diverse educational opportunities, and resources for every step of the college experience. Through the work of 16 departments and dozens of programs, Student Affairs is an integral extension of the NDSU experience, NDSU’s mission and the strategic plan.
An outstanding collegiate experience where every individual matters is our vision. Making this happen for students requires commitment and persistence. With over 800 student employees, Student Affairs is the largest student employer on campus. With an enrollment of over 1000 international students, NDSU is a community that proudly supports international initiatives and promotes an inclusive and diverse Bison family. Over 3000 students live on campus in residence halls, apartments and Greek housing.
Why is engagement and involvement so important to the Bison family? Student Affairs knows that students are happier and more connected to NDSU when they are academically challenged and personally connected to fellow students, staff and faculty.
I encourage every student to become engaged with our campus community.
