The NDSU Wellness Center is excited to host the 2018 NIRSA ND/MN State Workshop on October 4th and 5th in Fargo, ND. The State Workshop will be a great way to connect with colleagues and, true to our theme, share solutions. Please see below for information regarding registration, accommodations and session proposals.
Registration is now open at https://wellnessportal.ndsu.edu. Just click on ‘view programs’ then ‘fall 2018’ to view registration options. Participants will need to create an account by clicking the ‘sign in’ button and then ‘sign up if you don’t have a local account.’ There is varied pricing for professional and student NIRSA members and non-NIRSA members. Early bird registration prices run through September 15th.

Area Facility Tours
Tours are a great way to share knowledge, ideas and solutions! As a pre-conference option on Thursday, October 4th, join us for a tour of three local facilities:
Fargodome – Opened in 1992 and the current home of NDSU Bison Football. The Fargodome hosts regional and national sporting tournaments, concerts and is start/finish line for the Fargo Marathon.
Sanford Health Athletic Complex – Opened in 2016, this $50 million extension and renovation of the former Bison Sports Arena houses athletic department offices, sports medicine, strength and conditioning and the ticket office. The facility includes an academic center, lounge, and fueling station in addition to the Scheel’s Center; a 5,700 seat arena for wrestling, men’s and women’s basketball and additional practice space.
Hulbert Aquatic Center – The Hulbert Aquatic Center is a $20.2 million aquatic facility in West Fargo housing the 2016 Olympic trials pool, moved from Omaha, Nebraska. The facility includes diving, moveable bulkheads, recreational equipment and will serve as the host for regional swim meets.
NDSU Fusion Academy
Have Innosoft Fusion? Thinking about implementing it? Have a different software and want to compare ideas? The Wellness Center Associate Director will lead you through all operations that NDSU uses within Innosoft Fusion. This pre-conference option is free and is designed to foster conversation, solution sharing and developing best practices. Be prepared to move, share ideas and see how Innosoft Fusion is currently utilized at the NDSU Wellness Center, how we have developed workarounds and solved issues presented by the software. More information to come later.
