WELLNESS CENTER MISSION STATEMENT:
The Wellness Center is dedicated to developing and promoting opportunities for individuals of the University Community to incorporate the 7 Dimensions of Wellness into their lifestyle.
We do this through:
- Effective Wellness Education efforts
- State-of-the-art Fitness/Recreation Programs
- Convenient and affordable Child Care
- Promotion of the 7 Dimensions of Wellness
Vision: We strive to be the most successful and innovative facility in the ND State University System.
The purpose of the Wellness Center is to support the academic mission of NDSU by providing an environment where students may learn behaviors conducive to creating healthy lifestyles. Wellness, which is about making healthy lifestyle choices regarding mind, body, and spirit, is the common thread of the Center's programs and services.
The Wellness Center is funded by a $94.40 wellness fee included with tuition for full-time students each semester (pro-rated for part-time students). The wellness fee provides operational and personnel funding, which includes but is not limited to debt reduction, salaries, benefits, and programs and services that promote student health and wellness. In the spring of 2013 students voted to support an additional fee of $29.16 each semester, beginning fall semester 2013, to fund the construction of an aquatic center addition to the Wellness Center.
