Group Exercise Instructors

The Group Exercise Instructor position is responsible for providing fun, effective, and safe group exercise to members of the NDSU Wellness Center and of our Campus Community.
We are currently searching for Group Exercise Instructors that are certified to teach in a variety of formats.

Instruct and manage group exercise classes in positive and safe atmosphere for all participants. This includes meeting individual and group needs as determined by the Group X Instructor supervisor, offering encouragement and instruction, and creating a community within taught classes.
Must be able to effectively lead participants through designated class and format, while adjusting and offering modifications to accommodate everyone. Also must be willing to enforce policy while maintaining a positive energy in each class.
All instructors must be CPR/AED certified within 30 days of hire and willing to obtain a national group exercise instructor certification within 4 months of hire. Some formats require specialty certifications.
Instructors must demonstrate commitment to Wellness Center mission and vision, demonstrate quality customer service, and recognize/prevent safety hazards.
