Are you ready for a challenge? Are you looking to BOOST your exercise routine? Do you want to get yourself ready for spring break? Bison Boot Camp is a program designed to push you to your limit and get your body and attitude into shape. Participants of all fitness levels are welcome (modifications will be made for any exercises as needed)! Instructors will lead the class through a variety of workouts throughout the program that will target: muscular strength, muscular endurance, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, agility and more. Your fitness level will be evaluated at the start and end of the program to measure the progress you make!

It's fun! It's challenging! WARNING! Bison Boot Camp is designed to transform you! HARD WORK IS REQUIRED.

The program meets 2 days per week for 6 weeks.
Choose the session that fits your schedule. Each time slot is limited to 20 participants.

  • Mon & Wed: 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m.
  • Mon & Wed: 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
  • Mon & Wed: 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
  • Tues & Thurs: 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
  • Tues & Thurs: 6:00 a.m. - 7:00 a.m.

Bison Boot Camp is open to NDSU Wellness Center current members, or eligible members only. Eligible members are any student, staff, faculty, or associate that falls into membership eligibility, but do not currently have a membership.

Women on Weights is a 6-week program designed to educate and give hands-experience in fitness. Learn more about the benefits of strength training as well as proper technique. The program meets 2 days a week for 6 weeks. This program is for women only.

Choose the session that fits your schedule:

Women on Weights Level 1

Women on Weights 1 is a program for women only and welcomes all fitness levels. It is designed to educate and give hands-on experience with resistance training for women. Each session will cover material on a different major muscle group including in-class practice with an instructor and exercise ideas and tips to take home. This program will not provide you with a workout but rather teach you how and why to properly use weights/equipment and how to create a workout for yourself. 

Sessions are limited to 15 participants, so register quickly!
Mon & Wed: 11:00 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.
Tues & Thurs: 5:30 p.m. - 6:15 p.m.

Women on Weights Level 2

*Level 1 completion is prerequisite for this session

Women on Weights 2 is a program designed to build upon the knowledge gained from WOW 1. Each session will cover material on different major muscle groups as well as smaller muscle groups. The exercises learned in WOW 2 will be slightly more advanced than those learned in WOW 1. This class will not provide you with a workout but rather teach you how to create an ever-changing (periodized) exercise program for yourself. 

Sessions are limited to 15 participants, so register quickly!
Mon & Wed: 5:30 p.m. - 6:15 p.m.
Tues & Thurs: 11:00 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.

Fitness Programs

We have multiple offerings for specialty programs throughout the year.  These programs are designed to fit into your schedule, challenge you, and motivate your fitness goals.  All programs are taught by our positive and trained fitness staff.

We also serve as host for various training opportunities. If you are interested in the wellness field or want to build your resume, attend a NETA Personal Training course, or one of our hosted YogaFit trainings.
