Course Description: 

This course is designed for students to integrate coursework taken in Women and Gender Studies major, apply their knowledge, and explore career and graduate options in the field of Women and Gender Studies.

Objectives:

  • Students will be able to explore how feminism and activism are intertwined by studying ways that diverse individuals, groups, and communities can affect change.
  • Students will be able to analyze how social categorizations of one’s identity, such as race, gender, socioeconomic class, sexual orientation, and gender identity, intersect and affect a person’s lived experiences.
  • Students will be able to explore the implications of engaged citizenship.
