Locations include the Langdon Research Extension Center and Bittner Farms.

8:30am Registration, coffee, and donuts

8:45am Welcome (Randy Mehlhoff & Cavalier County SCD board members)

9:15am Using perennial salt-tolerant grasses on marginal lands (Brenyn Hardy & Christina Crockett)

10:10am Challenges and benefits of no-till versus conventional-till (Naeem Kalwar & Jeff Stachler, PhD)

11:05am Salinity and sodicity tolerances of barley, oat and sugarbeet (Naeem Kalwar, Lindy Berg & Bailey Reiser)

Noon Transportation provided to the Bittner Farm. Lunch will be eaten on the bus and is provided by the Cavalier County Soil Conservation District.

1:00pm Planting soybeans in rye cover crop (Farmer Panel: Grant Ruehle, Aaron Kjelland, & Coy Bata)

2:00pm Questions for the Farmer Panel
