Welcome to the Center for Writers

The Center for Writers (CFW) offers free writing support to all NDSU undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and staff. Whether you're working on a class assignment, thesis or dissertation, journal article, presentation, or personal project, we're here to help you become a more confident, independent writer. Our writing consultants have experience working in a range of disciplines at all levels. Through thoughtful conversation and careful reading of your text, we can help you make informed and effective decisions as a writer.

You can meet one-on-one with a writing consultant, attend a workshop, join a writing group, or simply stop by to write in a supportive environment. Check out our upcoming events on MyNDSU.

Appointments

You can schedule a one-on-one appointment with a consultant through our scheduling portal, WCOnline. First-time users will need to register their account, which takes 1 minute or less.

Consultations are available face-to-face or online for both undergraduate and graduate students. When you make an appointment, we encourage you to upload any current drafts, assignment guidelines, or rubrics so that your consultant can prepare for your session; you can always return to your appointment on WCO later to add materials.
