2023 Red River Valley Statistics Conference
The Department of Statistics holds an annual Red River Valley Statistical Conference at North Dakota State University. This conference includes undergraduate, graduate, and student group presentations on research conducted in the Department of Statistics.
The first day of the conference featured undergraduate capstone research presentations. Each student presented results on a research project involving experimental design. The first day of the conference also included group presentations from our Biostatistics class. The students in this class obtained data from the website Kaggle, conducted hypothesis testing and analyzing the results. The students considered odds ratios associated with various factors and determined whether there was any statistically significant relationship between the factor and a given disease. The second day of the conference featured graduate student presentations on current research.
