Academic Advising

The foundation of SSS rests on ongoing individual academic guidance by our SSS Education Specialists. Academic guidance is not intended to take the place of your faculty academic advisor, but to supplement your academic efforts. SSS Education Specialists provide assistance with all aspects of educational planning and scheduling for the semester including:

• Monitoring your academic progress through the use of Mid-Semester Reports
• Brainstorming course selection and making long term academic plans
• Providing strategies for maintaining and improving your GPA
• Helping with study skills
• Assisting in signing up for tutoring
• Referrals to additional campus and community services
