TYPO3 - Now Available for Faculty

Effective immediately, NDSU Faculty may request CMS/TYPO3 Web sites. These sites have a unique look that is distinct from NDSU department pages. Actual creation of faculty sites will begin Nov 1, 2009.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Effective Nov. 23, 2009, the "old" NDSU Web server (known to some people as WebDev) will be retired. Please see the WEB SERVER RETIREMENT PAGE to determine if you have a site on this server and what to do about it.

NDSU Web Hosting Options

For many faculty, departments, programs and business units, the TYPO3 content-management system will provide a robust option for presenting information on the Web. That system has the benefit of providing consistent navigation, a professional design and it also ensures accessibility for people with disabilities.

Because some individuals and departments require more technical options, the PubWeb system provides a more traditional Web hosting. Sites on PubWeb allow greater flexibility, but users of this system will need to ensure that their sites are accessible to people with disabilities and meet university graphic standards.
