Class Notes


  • Greg Zastoupil, BS ’97 electrical engineering, is the engineering manager for acoustics-professional systems at Bose Corp. He lives in North Grafton, Massachusetts.
  • Faye (Eggar) Burrows, 79, BS ’62 home economics, taught vocational home economics in North Dakota schools for 10 years. Later she worked for the Sheyenne Valley Special Education Unit from 2001-2013. She lived in Valley City, North Dakota.
  • Josephine Tavis, 94, Diploma ’45 Bismarck Hospital School of Nursing, was a nurse at Bismarck Hospital and then was a homemaker. She later returned to nursing, working at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Dickinson. She lived in Loveland, Colorado.
  • JoDell (Becker) Veil, 74, BS ’77 human science and education, managed Wicker Way, served as the bookkeeper for Kmart’s automotive department and worked at the Jamestown H & R Block Franchise for a few years before owning it from 1987-2016. She lived in Jamestown, North Dakota.
  • James Eck, 77, BS ’70 electrical and electronic engineering, was a salesman for NCR and later for Butler Machinery. He was an Army veteran who served in Vietnam. He lived in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
  • Roxanne Brown, 55, Diploma ’98 Bismarck Hospital School of Nursing, worked in the emergency room at St. Alexius Health Bismarck for nearly 18 years. She also worked as a part-time flight nurse and was an active member of the National Ski Patrol for many years. She lived in Harvey, North Dakota.
  • Harold Larson, 78, MEd ’71, EDS ’79 educational administration, was an educator and administrator for 40 years. He was named Superintendent of the Year by the Minnesota Association of School Administrators. His final job was as superintendent of Standing Rock Community Schools. During his time there, he was honored with a Naming Ceremony and presented with a Star Quilt. He was a Navy veteran who lived in West Fargo.
  • Luan (Specht) Rudnick, 63, BUS ’80 university studies, was a homemaker on the Rudnick family farm near Anamoose, North Dakota.
  • William Harkins, 88, BS ’59 electrical and electronic engineering, was employed by Lockheed for his entire career. He worked on the L1011 passenger jets and top secret projects such as the U2, SR-71 and stealth bomber aircraft. He was an Air Force veteran who served during the Korean War. He lived in Trinidad, California.
  • Rodney Lidenberg, 69, BA ’72 English, worked for Continental Golf Corp. and was a longtime golf instructor. From 2007 to 2016, Golf Magazine annually named him one of the "Top 100 Teachers in America." He served as president of the Minnesota section of the Professional Golfers Association. He won three Minnesota PGA Teacher of the Year awards, one Junior Golf Leader award and the Horton Smith Award for outstanding and continuing contributions to professional education. He lived in St. Louis Park, Minnesota.
