- Rebecca McElwain, BS ’97 business administration, was promoted to brigadier general. She is among only 30 female general officers in the U.S. Army. She is assigned to U.S. Army Central, serving as assistant chief of staff, G8 comptroller and is responsible for the command’s budget and resource management.
- Robert Ercolani, BS ’69 physical education, had an endowed scholarship named in his honor at St. Agnes School in St. Paul, Minnesota. He coached and taught at the school for 31 years, and was a 2007 inductee into the school’s Hall of Fame. An anonymous donor gave $110,000 to fund four $2,500 scholarships annually to student-athletes who qualify.
- Kim Gaida-Wagener, BA, ’98 environmental design and landscape architecture, was elected to a three-year term on the Minnesota Nursery and Landscape Association board of directors. She is a senior sales associate at Rock Hard Landscape Supply, with locations in Burnsville, Farmington and Jordan, Minnesota. The association is the state’s largest green industry trade association with more than 1,000 member businesses including garden centers; lawn, tree, garden and snow services; landscape contractors; tree and flower growers; and irrigation contractors.
- Aaron Muehlberg, BS ’08 mechanical engineering, accepted the production superintendent position at the American Crystal Sugar Co. factory in Moorhead, Minnesota. He previously was the factory’s maintenance superintendent.
- Kimberly Wahl, BS ’95 sociology, joined Widmer Roel, a local public accounting and business advisory firm, as a senior audit associate.
- Jerry Rosburg, BS ’78 social science education, was named interim head coach of the Denver Broncos in the National Football League. A former NDSU linebacker, he is a member of the Bison athletic hall of fame.
- Dr. Mari Knudsen, BA ’13 zoology, joined Essentia Health. She is seeing patients at the Essentia Health-West Fargo The Lights Clinic.
- Kaitlin Root, BS ’21 agricultural communication, is the new beef quality assurance coordinator for the Minnesota Beef Council and the executive director of the Minnesota State Cattlemen’s Association. She was an editor for the Wyoming Livestock Roundup newspaper in Casper, Wyoming.
- Kristin Hormann, BS ’21 accounting, joined Enclave as a staff accountant.
- Nolan Braseth, BS ’07 agriculture and biosystems engineering, was promoted to factory manager at the American Crystal Sugar Co. factory in Crookston, Minnesota. He previously was the production superintendent at the company’s factory in Moorhead, Minnesota.
