- Merle McMorrow, BS ’49 civil engineering, recently was featured in a Forum of Fargo-Moorhead story by Bob Lind. The piece described his World War II experiences as a paratrooper and mentions that he has written two books, “From Breckenridge to Bastogne” and “From Rome to Berlin via Bastogne.”
- Zach Hermann, BS ’08 civil engineering, has been named the Young Engineer of the Year by the F-M Engineers Club. The club is chapter four of the North Dakota Society of Professional Engineers. He is a project manager for Houston Engineering Inc., Fargo, who specializes in water management solutions.
- Jen Hanley, BS’98 civil engineering, was named in Prairie Business magazine’s list of “Top 25 Women in Business -2018.” She is the technical manager at Ulteig Engineers Inc., Fargo, where she is responsible for leading the firm’s transportation operations in North Dakota and Minnesota.
- Liza McLean, BS ’08 business administration, was named in Prairie Business magazine’s list of “Top 25 Women in Business -2018.” She is the co-owner of Smiling Moose Deli franchises with business partner Nathan Everson. The company has more than 100 employees at seven locations. She is a franchisee of Smiling Moose Deli in Grand Forks, Watford City and Williston, North Dakota; Eau Claire, Wisconsin; and Dunn Brothers Coffee in Bismarck, North Dakota.
- Christine Club, BACC ’08 accountancy, was promoted to manager at Fiebiger, Swanson, West & Co., PLLP.
- Darin Ziemer, BACC ’07 accountancy, was promoted to senior manager at Fiebiger, Swanson, West & Co., PLLP.
- John Frasse, MACC ’14 accountancy, was promoted to in-charge accountant at Fiebiger, Swanson, West & Co., PLLP.
- Steven Wood, BACC ’11 accountancy, was promoted to supervisor at Fiebiger, Swanson, West & Co., PLLP.
- Ryan C. Brown, BS ’15 civil engineering, was selected as “Someone you should know: People making a difference” by the Devils Lake Journal. He is a project manager for Spirit Lake Tribal Planning.
- Malika Carter, PhD ’14 education, is the chief diversity officer at the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry. She will be a panelist during the Hartwick College Department of Nursing’s 2018 O’Connor Chair Lecture on March 14.
