  • Hridaya Bhargava, 84, MS ’64, PhD ’65 pharmacy, had a long and successful career as a research chemist and then was a professor of pharmacology at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy. He also owned HKSV Associates, and did consulting work for such organizations as WHO, USAID, UNICEF and the World Bank. He lived in Sharon, Massachusetts.
  • Brenda (Weisz) Connelly, BSN ’07 nursing, was named chief quality officer of The Spring Living, a senior housing company founded in 1996 with headquarters in Oregon. She joined the company in 2010. She also earned her Assisted Living Administrators License in Montana that same year. She lives in Kalispell, Montana.
  • Alan Slater, BS ’81 agronomy, retired as director of Midwest Malting Barley Operations for Anheuser-Busch Companies Inc. He's been with the company for 34 years, and ran the Moorhead, Minnesota, malt plant. 
  • Mark Trogstad, BS,’00 mechanical engineering, joined KFI Engineers as a senior mechanical engineer in the firm’s Fargo office.
  • Marcia McMullen, PhD ’83 plant pathology, was inducted into the North Dakota Agriculture Hall of Fame during the 82nd annual North Dakota Winter Show in Valley City. She was a faculty member in the NDSU plant pathology department for nearly 30 years.
  • Kolby Schaeffer Fraase, BS ’11, MS ’15 nursing, was named state Nurse Educator of the Year by the North Dakota Nursing Students’ Association. She is a lecturer in the Nursing Skills Lab at NDSU.
  • Michael W. Tufte, BS ’15 business administration, joined Park Co. Realtors as a realtor. He is licensed in North Dakota and Minnesota, and is a member of the National Association of Realtors.
  • Jalyssa Sorenson, BS ’12 anthropology, was promoted to vice president of mortgage operations at Gate City Bank. She has been employed at Gate City Bank since 2012.
  • Amanda Torok, BS ’10 public relations and advertising, was promoted to senior vice president of culture at Gate City Bank. She has been with Gate City Bank since 2014.
  • Joshua McAlister, BS ’10 business administration, was promoted to assistant vice president, personal loan officer at Gate City Bank. He has been employed at Gate City Bank since 2012, most recently has a personal loan officer.
