- Annika Rotvold, BS ’20 biological sciences, MS ’21, health, nutrition and exercise science, finished first among women in the Essentia Health Fargo Marathon 10K. She finished sixth overall with a time of 36:55.
- Deanne Sperling, BS’89 accounting, joined Tri-College University as communications coordinator and assistant to the Provost.
- Dr. Joel Syvrud, BS ’91 microbiology, of the St. Cloud, Minnesota, VA Health Care System was selected as the American Legion’s 2021 Physician of the Year. He has been a podiatrist there for 22 years.
- Benjamin Schultz, BS ’17 human development and family science, is the new varsity boys basketball coach at Spearfish, South Dakota.
- Shawnia Zielinski, BS ’21 psychology, joined NDSU Extension as an administrative assistant in Stutsman County.
- Chris Schroeder, BS ’99 animal and range sciences, is the chief financial officer at Moore Holding Company.
- Kira Sornsin, BS ’11 public relations and advertising, is a marketing manager at Flint Group.
- Tiffany Eslinger, BS ’10 nursing, is an advanced practice registered nurse at Essentia Health.
- Gerald “Butch” Haugland, 69, BS ’74, MEd ’95 agricultural education, farmed and ranched near Ambrose, North Dakota. He also taught ag education and was the FFA advisor at Divide County High School until his retirement. He lived in Ambrose.
- Gregory Prom, 91, BS ’52 electrical and electronic engineering, was an electrical engineer at Honeywell. He completed more than 60 marathons worldwide, including 30 Twin City Marathons during his running career. He lived in St. Paul, Minnesota.
