  • Megan Nelson, PhD, ’19 animal science, was recently named one of Farm Journal’s "PORK’s Up and Coming Leaders." She is the Livestock Extension Outreach Program manager for the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
  • Nathan Diemer, BA ’17 computer science, was promoted to software education manager at Discovery Benefits, Fargo.
  • Briena Goldsmith, BS ’06 psychology, was promoted to director of operations and reimbursement support services at Discovery Benefits, Fargo.
  • Naomi Larson, BS ’98 business administration, is an insurance agent at Bell Insurance, a division of Bell Bank, located in downtown Fargo. She lives in Fargo with her two children.
  • Andrew Schell, BS ’13 accounting, was promoted to manager in the audit department of Widmer Roel, a public accounting and business advisory firm. He joined Widmer Roel in 2014.
  • Michael Opat, BS ’03 civil engineering, joined the Fargo office of Houston Engineering Inc. as a senior project manager. He supports business development strategies and manages water resources projects.
  • Jania Loosmore, BS ’13 psychology, was promoted to senior solution specialist at Discovery Benefits, Fargo.
  • Janet Bailly, BS ’79 design, joined the sales and design team of Western Products. She is a design consultant for blinds, shades and shutters.
  • Nicholas Evin, BS ’17 accounting, was promoted to senior staff accountant in the audit department of Widmer Roel, a regional public accounting and business advisory firm.
  • Bradley Brummond, BS ’82 agricultural extension, agricultural education, was named to the National Association of County Agricultural Agents Hall of Fame. He is NDSU Extension’s agriculture and natural resources agent in Walsh County and the first North Dakotan to be selected for the NACAA Hall of Fame.
