Class Notes


  • Megan Ternquist, BS ’16 animal sciences, joined the farm broadcast team at the Red River Farm Network. She previously worked in public relations for the Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation.
  • Dane Braun, BS ’08 agricultural economics, MS ’10, agribusiness and applied economics, joined Myriad Mobile of Fargo as product owner for Bushel, a new mobile grain app platform.
  • Mike Dietrich, BS ’94 agricultural economics, MS ’96, crop and weed sciences, joined Thunder Seed as director of product development. He previously held positions with several companies, including American Cyanamid, Agsco and Monsanto.
  • Chris Schenck, BS ’96 agricultural economics, joined American Federal Bank’s south Fargo sales office as the agriculture and business banker and vice president.
  • Amber Boeshans, BS ’05 animal and range sciences, was named executive director of the North Dakota Livestock Alliance.
  • Jonathan Crump, BArch ’84 architecture, was promoted to design director at Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm with headquarters in Fairfax, Virginia, and more than 50 locations nationwide. He previously was senior associate at the firm. He received the 2015 Distinguished Service Award from the American Institute of Architects Eastern Oklahoma chapter for his involvement in the chapter’s Architects Registration Exam Study Program. He is a licensed architect in Minnesota and Oklahoma.
  • Esther (Anderson) Lutz, 85, BS ’54 home economics education, was a home Extension agent and later was a member of her church’s administrative council. She was active in 4-H, Daughters of the American Revolution, Longmont Genealogical Society and Meals on Wheels. She lived in Longmont, Colorado.
  • Amber Boeshans, BS ’05 animal and range science, was named executive director of the North Dakota Livestock Alliance. She previously worked with the state Agriculture Department and has experience as a herd manager and dairy insurance specialist.
  • James Upton, DNP ’15 advanced nursing practice, joined Essentia Health in Fargo as a nurse practitioner in the interventional radiology department. He is certified as a family nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
  • Chasity Stanczyk, BS ’17 psychology, was promoted to full-time behavior technician at the North Dakota Autism Center.
