  • Jeffrey Silvers, BS ’11 accounting, was named the Outstanding Young Professional of the Year by the Minnesota Society of CPAs. He is the operations lead at Wells Fargo in Minneapolis. He lives in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
  • Mallari Ackerman, BS ’09 hospitality and tourism management, was chosen to participate in the 2019 United Way of Cass-Clay 35 Under 35 Women’s Leadership Program.
  • David Givers, 78, MS ’90 natural resource management, agricultural economics, held various jobs in resource management until becoming NDSU director for the North Dakota EPSCOR program, where he worked on programs with state tribal colleges for students to attain professional degrees. He lived in West Fargo.
  • Milton Heupel, 83, BS ’63 civil engineering, held positions with the North Dakota highway department; Bismarck, North Dakota, water department; and Federal Aviation Administration in Bismarck. He was an Army veteran who lived in Mandan, North Dakota.
  • Rodney Heglie, 79, BS ’65 economics, lived in Baxter, Minnesota.
  • Steven D. Peterson, 54, BS ’87 business administration, was co-owner of the Nine Dragons restaurant in Fargo. He lived in Fargo.
  • Arno Jorgenson, 74, MS ’69 education counseling and guidance, lived in Bismarck, North Dakota. 
  • Gonzalo Rojas-Cifuentes, 56, MS ’98 crop and weed science, PhD ’02, plant science, first worked with the NDSU dry bean breeding program and later was assistant director of the NDSU foundation seed stocks program. He lived in Fargo.
  • Douglas Savard, 80, BS ’60 pharmacy, owned and operated the Breckenridge, Minnesota, Clinic Pharmacy for 42 years, until his retirement. He lived in Wahpeton, North Dakota. 
  • Ardon Herman, 84, BS ’57 agronomy, was a partner in the family farm operation near Brinsmade, North Dakota, and worked for NW Nurseries in Valley City, North Dakota. He was an Air Force veteran who lived in Brinsmade.
