- Richard Mahar, 70, MEd ’76 educational administration, was a probation officer for the Colorado State Judicial Department until his retirement in 2002. He later was director of the Domestic Violence and Abuse Center, a program that provides services and support for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in Walsh, Pembina and Cavalier Counties in North Dakota. He was an Army veteran who served in Vietnam. He lived in Minto, North Dakota.
- James Nordstrom, 58, BS ’89 civil engineering, worked at Black & Veatch and Pullman Power. He lived in Overland Park, Kansas.
- Harry Schiefer, 88, BS ’58 pharmacy, worked for Eli Lilly Co. for 28 years in Pasco, Washington. He was an Army veteran who served in Korea. He lived in La Quinta, California.
- Frances M. Kiesling, 96, BA ’72 sociology education, was assistant manager of McShane's China and Gift Shop, Fargo, and manager of the china and crystal departments of Crescent Jewelers, Fargo. She lived in St. Louis Park, Minnesota.
- Virgene (Olson) Frenette, 90, BS ’49 home economics, taught school in Crookston, Minnesota, and later was a long-term substitute teacher in Fargo-Moorhead schools. She also handled office duties in her husband’s electrical business. She lived in Moorhead.
- Mary (Severson) Curtis, 87, BS ’51 textiles and clothing, lived in various locations in United States as well as overseas assignments in England, Spain, Italy and Okinawa during her husband’s military career. She lived in Brentwood, California.
- Richard Rathbun, 94, MS ’65 educational administration, taught social studies at Holmes Jr. High School, Detroit Lakes, Minnesota and was also the varsity hockey coach. He later became the guidance counselor at the junior high school, and also acted as the assistant principal before retiring in 1985 after 31 years with the district. He served in the South Pacific as a radio operator during WW II. He lived in Detroit Lakes.
- Donald Muhs, 86, MS ’67 educational administration, was a teacher and coach in Napoleon, North Dakota, and later was the superintendent at Argusville, North Dakota, for 28 years. An outstanding basketball player, he was inducted in the Valley City State University and the North Dakota Amateur Basketball Halls of Fame. He lived in Argusville.
- Marjorie (Jenson) Sholy, 93, BS ’73 speech, worked as a speech pathologist with the Fargo schools, retiring in 1992. She lived in Fargo.
- Jean (Pratt) Lindgren, 89, BS ’50 English, was active in the Fargo Fortnightly Study Club, Chapter AE PEO, and First Presbyterian Church. She also served on Presbytery Council in the church and volunteered at Merit Care and Dakota Hospitals. She lived in Fargo.
