  • Cydney Coffey, BS ’18 psychology, was selected the 2019 Graduate Student of the Year for Region V of the Association of College Unions International. She is a graduate assistant with the Centennial Student Union communications office at Minnesota State University, Mankato.
  • Alex Steen, BS ’14 accounting, MS ’15, accountancy, MBA ’19, business administration, joined Flint Group, Fargo, as a finance controller.
  • Ariel Hermanson, BS ’15 exercise science, joined Flint Group, Fargo, as a project manager.
  • Nathan Wanner, BS ’13 business administration, is the manager of Slumberland in Hayward, Wisconsin.
  • Venkata Chapara, PhD ’10 plant pathology, was presented the Excellence Award by the Northern Canola Growers Association. The honor recognizes individuals who have significantly contributed to the success of the canola industry within North Dakota and nationally. He is a plant pathologist at the NDSU Langdon Research Center.
  • Christopher Tofsrud, BS ’13 agricultural economics, joined Insure Forward, a division of Bank Forward, as a member of the insurance sales agent team in Valley City, North Dakota.
  • Courtland Miller, BS ’13 business administration, was named associate director of strategic initiatives for the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum effort.
  • Tanner Volson, BS ’18 construction management, was signed by the NFL’s New York Giants and placed on the team’s practice squad. He was one of the final cuts of the Los Angeles Chargers in August.
  • Erica Skogen, BS ’17 political science, was selected to serve a one-year clerkship with the North Dakota Supreme Court for the 2020-2021 term beginning Aug. 1, 2020.
  • Matthew R. Keller, BS ’17 political science, was selected to serve a one-year clerkship with the North Dakota Supreme Court for the 2020-2021 term beginning Aug. 1, 2020.
