Class Notes


  • Cristal Lovejoy, BS '14 management, was named a human resources assistant for Wanzek Construction, West Fargo. She was previously an accounts receivable clerk with Appareo Systems.
  • Julianne Lee, 68, BS '70 child development and family relations, AD  '75, nursing, was a critical care nurse at St. Luke's Neuro-Intensive Care Unit in Fargo, and then was a registered nurse at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Fargo for 20 years. She later worked for the Mayo Clinic Healthcare System. She lived in Fargo.
  • W. Dale Ruff, 77, BS '58 agricultural engineering, served in the Army Reserves, and had a long career as an architect, helping to design churches, including Hope Lutheran in Fargo and the Stave Church in Moorhead. He lived in Mounds View, Minnesota.
  • Larry Severson, 72, BS '68 mechanical engineering, worked for Branick Manufacturing in West Fargo, North Dakota. He then went to work for Bandag Inc. in Muscaline, Iowa. He retired and moved to Ivins, Utah.
  • Luetta (Pfeifle) Pepple, 90, BS '47 home economics education lived in Naples, Florida.
  • Barbara (Snyder) Johnson, 83, BS '53 food and nutrition, taught at Litchville, Arthur and Minot, North Dakota. She later sold real estate in Bismarck, North Dakota. She lived in Bismarck. 
  • Glenna (Kjelland) Uglem, 90, BS '46 home economics, taught school in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, and Northwood, North Dakota. She lived in Northwood.
  • Ruth (Kickhertz) Hemm, 93, Diploma '42 Bismarck Hospital School of Nursing, was in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps and served in the Pacific Theater. Upon discharge, she worked as a nurse in Milton, West Virginia; Washington, D.C.; and Fargo. During her later years, she volunteered for Hospice of the Red River Valley and Shepherd's Christian Preschool. She lived in Fargo.
  • Donald Christianson, 72, MS '74 educational administration, was a teacher, coach and administrator at several North Dakota school systems. He later operated theaters in Cando, Rugby and Harvey, and owned rental properties in Rugby and Minot, North Dakota. He lived in Minot.
  • Holly Bergo, 44, BS '06 nursing, was a field epidemiologist for the North Dakota Department of Health, and a health educator for Clay County Public Health and the Wellness Center at NDSU. She later was a public health nurse at Fargo Cass Public Health. She lived in Moorhead, Minnesota.
