- Ronald Werner, 67, BA ’72 biological sciences, was as a chemist for the Texas Research and Development Laboratories in Irving, Texas, and later a quality assurance engineer for Drayton Enterprises, Fargo. He lived in Fargo.
- Michael Smette, 65, BS ’73 agricultural engineering, worked as a design engineer for Concord, Case IH and Amity Technology. He specialized in developing air till drills and other tillage equipment. He lived in Fargo.
- William Franklin, 54, MEd ’99 counseling and guidance, worked at Robert Asp Elementary, Moorhead Junior High, Horizon Middle School and Ellen Hopkins Elementary in Moorhead, Minnesota. He lived in Moorhead.
- Joyce (Finstad) Ramsey, 88, BS ’52 human development and education, lived in Fargo.
- Linda (Mueller) DeGroot, 65, AD ’76 nursing, she had a four-decade career, working at several hospitals across the United States. She lived in Kinder, Louisiana.
- Janet (Deal) Miller, 80, MEd ’89 secondary education, was head of the NDSU Libraries circulation department for 20 years, retiring in 1999. She lived in West Fargo.
- Lloyd Thompson, 91, Honorary Alumnus ’86, Honorary Doctorate ’91 was the founder of Border States Paving. He was a life director of the Association of General Contractors and served as chair of the National Asphalt Paving Association. He was an NDSU Foundation life trustee. He lived in Fargo.
- Kenneth D. Skjervem, 85, BS ’58 electrical and electronic engineering, worked for the aerospace industry for 30 years at Boeing and Rockwell. He lived in Rancho Palos Verde, California.
- Joel N. Belgum, 94, MS ’60 education counseling and guidance, a 29-year career as a high school guidance counselor. He also managed family farmland in North Dakota. He lived in St. Paul, Minnesota.
- Jane Strommen, BS ’85 business administration, PhD ’13, human development, joined the South Dakota State University Extension Service as a gerontology specialist. She will divide time with her gerontology specialist duties at NDSU.
