Links to other moth (and butterfly) sites

Since the launch of NDmoths in 2000, a number of web sites with extensive photo galleries have come on-line.  Below are links to some of the most useful for identifying moths (and butterflies) with special reference to the northern Great Plains, along with other sites of 'lepidopterological,' entomological or general scientific interest.  I have placed these sites into seven categories: Regional, covering a specific state or province (as does this site); National/ Inter-national, national or continental in scope; Taxonomic group, specific for families or genera; Early stages, covering eggs, larvae, pupae and host plants; Collective sites, pages that are collections of links to additional Lepidoptera sites; Societies, organizations/ publications concerning Lepidoptera and Miscellaneous sites about Lepidoptera, taxonomy, biological science, and science in general.
