Itame sulphuria (Packard 1873)

Hodges #: 6283. Identification: Rfw 13 mm, dark markings red-brown rather than black, discal spot ocellate, hw vein M2 absent. Similar species: 6274, 6279, 6280. Distribution: Canada and temperate United States, south to California in the west. Hosts: Reported from Vaccinium (cranberry, blueberry) and Myrica gale L. (sweet gale), which do not occur in ND. The author suspects past recording lapses and that Viburnum spp. (nannyberry, high-bush cranberry) are host plants.
