Maliattha synochitis (Grote & Robinson 1868)

Common name: listed here as ‘Black-dotted glyph.

Hodges #: 9049 under Lithacodia.

Identification: Rfw 9.1 mm, fw with green patch along inner margin, fw venation quadrifid, first four abdominal segments with successively larger black tufts.

Similar species: 9050.

Distribution: southern Canada and eastern United States.

Hosts: Larvae feed on Polygonum spp.– Smartweeds.
